no one is fucking answering me, i really need help running tf2, it keeps saying "update paused" at 99% and when i click on play i get a thing that says "validating steam files" and it keeps doing that every time it finishes

Quit Steam, turn of your anti-virus, then update. You can turn it back on afterwards.

Anyway, have you tried turning it off and on again? And by this I mean restarting Steam?
Yes this forum sucks but your attitude and the attitude of many others is what makes it terrible
End the steam.exe process, delete your clientregistry.blob from your steam directory and try again.
that is what i did when mine did it (yes i experienced problems too)
EDIT: and this bye the way is in C:\PROGRAM FILES\STEAM
then it is in there some where.
