Starting today, when I connect to a server, TF2 randomly crashes during the connection. I've tried 3 times with different servers and it crashed on all.
would you kindly explain what it saids in the console or atleast something that gives us a clue whats going on?
It crashes. It says nothing in console.
My first guess would be for you to check your internet connection, try rebooting steam, rebooting your computer. Also have you downloaded anything lately?
EDIT: downloaded anything TF2 related.
When did these crashes start? Also what happened to that artistic idle map?
They started yesterday.
The artistic idle map is.. idle atm.. I don't know if to continue it or not since i'm working on a mod now.

Sometimes TF2 will crash on map change, sometimes it won't. I have no idea.

That was happening to me a short while ago, but it stopped.

Some of us worked out it was to do with Windows 7 and maybe Vista. Sent Valve an email. They said "We'll look into it."
You could try "differences" in the console. It'll list all commands that are not set to their defaults.
Also, do you use any CFGs, autoexecs, or anything like that? What are your launch options (if you have any)?

This happened to me too, but when I deleted all custom skins, game started working as it should.
