This just adds more suspense to where the spy really comes from, and I just wanted to point this out. When the spy is saying; "Ahh, ma petite cheux-fleur," in the background on the map you see earth covered in yellow dots, and one single red dot directly over italy. :aaaaa:
aha
He's a French-speaking Italian. Makes perfect sense.
He IS a spy, no one knows where he comes from. Who knows, he could be African.
He could be Gordon :O
Looks more like the dot is over Croatia.
Isn't the map and red dot visible before that part?
Croatia
Its the blu base, so perhaps it doesn't pertain to the spy.
It might just not be just a dot, but rather a light. And the fact it is red could mean it's different then all the others? What I'm getting at is I think it's the location of the base.

Or it could be a place of tactical value, a place currently under attack, a place being assaulted, etc. The possibilities are simply too diverse to assume anything specifically. If I accidentally insulted anyone's ideas, I apologize.
He's a red spy. The map is in the blu base. EDIT: Oh, that was already posted
Red dot means warning aka RED spy in base.
He IS french.
He is West European. That's as close as you'll ever get to his country of origin, no matter how many people insist on him being French.
He speaks french spasnish and italian. Obviously hes african.
The spy can take on scout's accent, demo accent, etc. so what stops him from taking on a "natural" accent of a country he isn't born in? Just to enforce Velguador's statement.
The VA for the Spy does a terrific job at sounding fancy while not giving any direct hints to his background.
Wow four months already since the release of Meet the Spy?!
I wonder how many people came in here expecting another "Soldier Medal" event?
Wow four months already since the release of Meet the Spy?!
Tell me about it.
People don't realize what valve knows; Directly after a goodie giveaway people will be alert. (Don't be a lert) Valve will release things when people least expect it.
I wonder how many people came in here expecting another "Soldier Medal" event?
Click the red dot! Click the red dot!
I wonder what stupid retards are going to click the button. Oh crap, I did.
I think it would be funny if they put little things like this in their videos, then each employee placed bets on how long it would take us to notice it.
The spy isn't supposed to have a real nationality, he's designed to have crossed sides so many times that he's forgotten where he comes from, hence why he can speak just about any language and accent.
This.
http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Spy Well, his bio says he's french.
http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Spy Well, his bio says he's french.
"Amigo" Franco-Spanish [editline]01:05AM[/editline] So yeah, he's Italian.
He's a fucking Triad. Under that mask is short, black, Asian hair.
