Seriously, a few hours ago my ping was >15.
Restart your router, maybe it just needs to have a reboot.
Try restarting your computer if you haven't already.
Try turning off any programs except steam currently accessing the internet.
its cause your using windows 7 :P
I have this same problem sometimes.

Just looks like a vista skin.
It's W7 based on the taskbar.
And all of a sudden this thread is completely about Windows 7.
Stop downloading porn, I guarantee it will go down.
You see, while you download porn your ping gets hard and big.
It was my shitty router. Fixed it. Wooooooooooooooooo.
I've also noticed this, and a FPS drop.
I had the same problem. For a minute or two.
It went away though.

Could have switched from wireless to wired, reconnected it, resynced, something like that.

Yeah, I'm running on a wire and I've always figured it was a problem on the line. Tried googlin' but nothing.
