Hey guys, long time no talk. I've been working on a project with MaxOfS2D and Neox. I could go on for hours what it'll be about, but right now I'm still toying with the idea, so I'd like to know what [b]you[/b] make out of the entire deal.
This is a server plugin in closed beta development, but it'll go public once I feel that it's finished work.

From left to right: Teagineer, the Dollmaker, Uberblob, The Snowman and roses.
And before anyone points it out, yes this is heavily influenced by Alice: Madness Returns. Although I'd recommend you do not purchase said game as it is awful.

I'd love it if more "mistakes" like the snowman were to be added.

It's the kind of Meta that makes horror a bit more immersive, and accidents can lead to some pretty creative designs alien and repulsive to the human mind. They are often also directly located in the Uncanny Valley, like it's doing a terrible job at trying to be human.
Dollmaker Scout for example is clearly non-human and doesn't even try, so he's more boring to me than the other characters.
And I haven't played The Binding of Isaac but these "monstrosities" modelers purge have always reminded me of aborted mutants. If you google the victims of uranium ammunition over in Afghanistan you'll see what I mean.
I like the idea and mod so far tho. Just don't make the filter such a vibrant purple/pink, it looks like Barbie-O-Vision. Maybe desaturate or outright darken it, but usually such effects should stem from the level design of course. I think Nightmare House 2 had a small overlay that darkened the edges if you want to check that out for inspiration (Free HL2:Ep2 mod).

I hope that this doesn't end up like vs saxton hale: Most of the time everyone camps on a corner behind a sentry and hale can't do shit because of te knockback (unless he uses rage)
I think it would be way better if you used original models rather than what looks like edited ports from that Alice game. They just don't fit the art style at all and I think that detracts from the overall presentation. Parkour Fortress had the same problem where everything looked like a cheap imitation of Mirror's Edge rather than simply being inspired by it.
There are plenty of talented modders in the Emporium who would love to be involved in a project like this if you just ask.
I'd love to have better models but unfortunately that'd be more time-consuming than I want it to be.
