Don't Make Anymore Threads Complaining About The New Items - Games

This is the Bill's hat fiasco all over again. [B]REMEMBER[/B]: You aren't paying for the new items in TF2. You're paying for the Sam & Max game. The items are a free bonus for people who buy the game. Got it? You're paying [B]the original price[/B] for the Sam & Max game. The game won't be any cheaper once the promotion ends, you just won't be getting the items with it. Therefore, the TF2 items are [B]free[/B]. If you don't want the Sam & Max game and buy it anyway just to get the new items, you are not entitled to complain about them in any way. You are also an idiot. Even as someone who is enjoying the Sam and Max games (and enjoyed L4D2), I'm still not a big fan of the "time limit" aspect of these deals. Giving out bonus items for owning certian games is an interesting way to diversify loadouts and show who has an interest in what. Giving out bonus items [i]only to people who preordered/bought it when it first came out[/i] is a rather transparent ploy to boost first-week sale numbers.

I agree that it's lame. But sometimes the lamest things rake in the most money in this world. Give people the opportunity to get items that they feel will make them have their own individuality in the game and make it only available for a short time, then they'll be jumping all over it. It's ironic though that the real individuals don't care about the "special" items. And I'm not bashing people that like the game, just the ones that buy it exclusively for the items.

It's not bad here on FP, you should of seen the Steam Forums earlier today.

And with a harmless "ploy" like giving in-game characters a couple aesthetic weapon reskins. Honestly, I don't mind it at all. It's adding new flavor and fun to a [b]three-year-old game[/b]. We should be lucky that Valve is even doing ANYTHING for us at this point.

TF2 updates get more players,more players=more money.Also Valve said that they would release every class weapon pack(don't even come with the L4D stuff). Sam & Max special items it's bad for two things: 1-Bills beret was a bad move by valve,but they did again(they even said "it's like the soldier medal again",prove that valve don't really want to give a damn about those who raged about the new items) 2-I bought TF2 because my friend played it and said it was a good game(i bought it after 2/3 months after heavy update),so i played the game and fuck it was great so i bought it(TF2 seems to spread by the players,i mean i made 3 guys buy it)Now if someone ask me if it's a good game now,what the fuck would you think i would say?
