Why does everyone care so much about hats in general? It's not like you do anything special to get one, and it dosen't effect you at all if you do get one.

This isn't even a "hat", in the usual sense. It's an item almost everyone has so who cares that you have it.

This is not the way it goes. You can barely notice the difference. With Halo you might get healed a little more by Halo medics and attacked a little more by Halo-less enemies. People are just so mad about it they think the whole world is against them.
