Why is it every time a sniper shoots, he HAS to get a headshot, or it's frowned upon? I honestly think it's rather dumb. You're getting the kill, amirite?
Headshot does more damage. If you don't want to give away your position, you headshot.
Because bodyshots are easy, but even if you get a headshot, you are still labelled as 'that faggot sniper' so it doesn't really matter.
It's one of those "magic" traits each class has. Like the fact that the demoman can detonate bombs with his brain, or how the Scout can double-jump.
people get mad when i bodyshot them. headshots have priority on those with larger health pools.
If I have a fully charged shot I always bodyshot lower health classes. It's rather dumb to not do that.
Doesn't matter if you headshot or not, you'll be yelled at by the other team.
Getting consistent headshots has always been seen as a sign of a "good marksman", whether it's bullshit or not.
I have a habit of trying to get headshots, really.
I try to get Headshots on other classes to, even though i know it does not do more damage.
In sniper V sniper body shotting is frowned upon

Its harder to headshot, therefore you kill less. Its actually a conspiracy to make snipers shit.
I always get the sniper and I like headshots. Why don't do something for kill a player with I bullet?
When I first started playing TF2 I could get headshots very easily. But nowadays it's much harder.. :frown:
Its strange how im jumping all over the place all in their face and when their 1 HP they headshot me.

Mainly because the moment someone knows your sniping the whole team comes after you.
I usually always go for headshots, but if I kill you on a body shot then your head wasn't visible, or you just jumped at the right moment :P
I only headshot when it's high health classes or if my shot isn't charged up.
Also being yelled at by the other team is what makes the sniper fun to play.

No scope and less damage maybe? Just a guess.
If the target is all alone I aim for headshot. If the target being attacked I bodyshot to get an assist.

I noticed the sniper laughs quite a bit when you shoot a enemy with a killing bodyshot, directly in the crotch.
When I get mad at my team not killing the enemy Snipers, I switch classes, change my nickname to "Bodyshotter" and start yelling "BODYSHOT" after I kill the Snipers.

While the headshots are harder to get, I really don't understand what the problem is. If your aim is slightly off or if you opt for a body shot because your enemy's at low enough health and it's easier to make, why is it such a big deal?
Are you expected to show off your skills and intentionally make the more difficult shot to kill your enemies, as if there's some kind of moral code or set of rules for playing Sniper? Fuck that, just go for efficiency.
