• Engineer Sentry Addons | Would this work for Steam Workshop?

I had this idea awhile back... Since Steam Workshop came in, I was thinking of getting this idea of the box... I'm just wondering if this would work? Like would it be applicable as an entry? SVK-012 OFFENSE TYPE *stronger offense *slower gun fire *slowly loses hp from recoil. Engineer maintenance recommended Purpose: This is for those who are willing to take risks in order to get their teammates into the frontline. Enginners must watch over their sentrys incase something happens... HVC-013 DEFENSE TYPE *stronger defense *faster gun fire but slower reaction time. *Weaker offense *Stronger Knockback. *Overtime, Damage will gradually decrease from normal to poor. The wrench can fix this. Purpose: This is for those who intend to push enemies away, instead of killing them... These type of people prefer staying in the back, and defend the objective. This is not what the thing will look like in the end (such as the large amounts of barrels on left sentry). The [B]Defensive Sentry[/B] (on left) was made by BLU team, so I decided to give it a more 'factory or industrialized' feel; hence the steam coming out of the top of the sentry... While also giving players the ability to identify it from far away... I also wanted to make it appear larger than the normal and offensive sentry so it would be bulkier and stockier, making it harder to destroy and more compact... One other thing is that the defensive sentry has more barrels than the offensive, the reason for this is that it shoots faster but does very little damage each... The barrel in the middle is for knock back and shoots once every two bullet shots. The [B]Offensive Sentry[/B] (on right) was made by the RED team, hence simplicity and sleek design... The offensive sentry offers a more brash and hard-hitting gameplay style, the offensive sentry has three barrels unlike its counterpart... These Offensive Sentries fire more like shotguns than miniguns; therefore they have slower gunfire in exchange for more firepower... The sentry head is smaller and more fragile than the normal/defensive sentries and therefore will slowly wear out from recoil, and can easily be taken down in the hands of a Soldier, Spy or Demoman.

Unless you code it, I suggest sticking to e-mail. You're probably actually more likely to get noticed by Valve that way. However, if you make sentry addon models you can upload those.

Only issue is that Attack/Defense maps place Blu in the offensive post and Red on defense, which is opposite to your backstory.

It'd be like if the Soldier got a pair of boots that went in his melee slot instead of his secondary. So I'm guessing any new Sentries would be attached to new wrenches/melee weapons, unless the Gunslinger would "conflict" with certain PDAs the same way some misc items do to each other.

Junk sentry is my favorite. There's really something for everyone.
I'm still hoping that the backpack sentry in the workshop can be released as an official item :(

You mixed the themes up by the way, BLU is the sleek streamlined team. Regardless, you shouldn't base designs that will be used for both teams on one team or the other

Valve, oh god please please please implement at least one of them, they're all fantastic ideas. The assualt sentry could implement a seperate control system, like a camera were you can it's movements and firing mechanisms.
I wish they would implement a smart sentry that would fire at players with the lowest health in range, or if the rockets would target individually and not just fire at the nearest person.

On topic: This seems like a good idea, if you go all the way, you should consider putting the concept images onto the workshop
