For the last two hours I have been trying to get my game running, but for some reason I can not even access it. It says
"Game is currently unavailable. Please try at a later time."
I have tried:
Restarting steam
Verifying game cache
Re-staring computer
Anyone else have any ideas?
delete clientregistry.blob
Rename ClientRegistry.blob

DON'T DELETE. RENAME. If it fixes it, send the file to SteamSupport detailing your problem, and they can work out why you got the problem.
Open the Task Manager and see if hl2.exe is still open. If it's open, kill the process. I have this sometimes and it's pretty annoying.

Tried this and it is not showing up.
I also tried the client registry thing. Not working. And everyone knows it will take a week before I see any response on steam support.

This works for me.
The game is sometimes unavailable. How hard is it to try again later?
It has been a day now that it has been out of service.
Situation: Want to play TF2
Problem: Unable to due to some "error"
I payed for it. I followed all the rules as requested of valve. I want to play my damned game.

Solution: Take out "team fortress 2" folder from Steamapps.
It has something to do with my config. Dunno what though.
