I was playing Tf2 last night, and my exit tele destroyed itself. No reason, before the end of the setup, and while I was upgraded it. I have come across this before a couple of months ago, but it just stopped and hasn't happened since.
Has this anyone happened to anyone else?
I find it hard to believe that Valve programmed the teleporters to have feelings, and that their self destruction is a blatant attempt at earning some well needed attention to help their plight: the slavery of teleporting people to other places on the map.
Although...
happens to me tons of times
Depends where you build it, some places cause the exit to just randomly blow up on completion.
eg. Goldrush's 2nd area, and upstairs and at the back wall on the right.
I think it destroys itself if there's not enough space above the teleporter for a person to teleport in.
It happens when you build it in a place where there is not enough head height for the player, eg. you'd teleport and get stuck by clipping into something.
Ayes, I think teles are supposed to be unbuildable if there's not enough height.

No, there's still places to can build without enough head space.
It's mainly locations where the roof above is slanted.
Or there's a prop juuust in the way.
Teleporters also blow up if you put them on the saw tracks in sawmill.
That ruined my fun. :saddowns:

I got a dispenser suck in the saws once.
Hilarity issues.
I built it outside the red spawn in the second stage of Dustbowl, and in the hut opposite the blu spawn in the first stage of Goldrush.
From what some of you have said, it must be a clipping issue that can't be seen while playing.
ie. a beam above the tele that's a centimetre too low or that sort of thing.
Also as it turns out it ruins 80% of my griefing spots for teles the only one off the top of my head I can do by myself without needing a partner is one on hoodoo (Another reason to hate it)
