WTF! I just learned this from a spray someone painted on the wall. It says press Mouse2 to use the suppressor to extinguish fire on teammates!!! Meh, all those poor burning scouts i could've saved...
I never realized this until today and I've played this game for one year....ONE FUKING YR, anything else interesting in this game?!
No wai
Lighting Arrows on fire.
You must know that.
MAN THE BOXES.
Caps
Be the kind of pyro everyone actually likes and extinguish your burning allies!
You just figured this out?
I mean, really?
You need to read the patch notes every update.
I asked a pyro to extinguish me with the airblast, but he insisted to w M1 on me, when I died he said OH!
Stereotypes are true! Pyros are all a bunch of w+m1 kamikaze retards....
No one can be that idiotic.

OP just proved it

He's not an idiot for not knowing about a feature that is rarely done in the first place. It's not like he didn't know about the losing animations or anything.
It took me a few months to realise you could rotate engi buildings.
Give the poor pyro a break. At least his discovery has increased the survivability of the team. And at least he's willing to actually use the comp blast to extinguish people in the middle of his M1 + W rampage.

True.
It would be hard to learn of a feature unless you didnt read about it before or never seen it done in-game/wherever.

Possible troll
That feature makes a pyro+medic team really dangerous.
Taryl, your Threads make my IQ Drop about 30 points.

You can extinguish fires with jarate too.
I've also noticed that a lot of people don't know that holding down M1 with the sticky launcher makes them go farther...

I don't think it's possible to have a negative IQ.
This is why Valve needs to add more tips to the loading screen. They've added so many game mechanics since the first release.

I agree with this, and make the tips easier to see. So all the beginners can see the tips clearly.
No fucking way. I did not know this.
I extinguish all my allies but I've never had a thank you :frown:
Someday I will...someday.

You're pretty much not going to get a thanks from it. I never have, and I'm forced - yes, FORCED - into Pyro a lot.
If you want thanks for extinguishing, you're pretty much have to use Jarate. The airblast extinguish sound can be pretty easily missed if there's combat nearby, and typically speaking if they're moving towards the enemy, you're going to get them from behind anyway. And besides that, pretty much everybody hates Pyros, regardless of what they do. I once stood in front of a sentry of a respawning Engineer and reflected/took rockets until he could get back to repair it. I didn't even have anyone assist me as they came by, much less get a thanks from the Engineer.

I'd like to tell you that it's your own fault for not running towards a health kit/supply locker... but then I realized one of the main reasons I rarely extinguish people with pyro or give people my sandwich as a heavy is because they always run past me before I can react to whatever the fuck just happened and I'll be running after them trying to catch up to them so I can extinguish them (or heal them as heavy) but usually they're too far away and running after them will risk my own safety.
