ive tried to make a tf2 machinima (in gmod) after being inspired by the awesome Ignis Solus.. or whatever its called.

You're not hopeless, you did the first step, that is get a machinima up.
Since you're working with Gmod, remember to check out some gmod camera styles on youtube.
I cant offer much else help, really. Keep trying though.
The golden rule is NEVER FILM WITH A FOV ABOVE 60 UNLESS IT IS HIGHLIGHTING A DRAMATIC EFFECT.

Use different music; I'm sick of hearing that song in every tf2 video.
try to use less screenshots, and more motion. Even if it's just using demo smoother to move the camera around. (But I recommend you actually have moving parts)
I've never actually made videos, but this is just my 2 cents.

I think TF2 sweps emit TF2 blood, so try to use those.
