Soldier Service Medal - Games

Is it wrong to ask for an unusual hat and two keys in exchange for my medal? I think not. But everyone I've talked to has said that the medal is worthless and not worth an unusual. I was under the impression that it was fucking RARE. Can anyone tell me the actual worth of it?

Value is in the eye of the beholder. It's a bloody tiny medal that you care barely see or care about, but since there's a little more than 11000 of them, naturally you can demand whatever you want for it from whoever is insanely crazy for it

I've heard of unusual hat offers for medals. I keep getting them since mine is number 404 and it's named "medal not found"

Yeah, I don't think the service medal is that great. I mean its ridiculously rare, but thats the only good thing I can think of for it.

I'm going to buy plenty of keys over time (overtime overtime oovertiiime), then hope for unusuals. Then I'll trade them for these event hats, badges, etc. I like collecting event hats and items. I'll never trade my medal, it's number just happens to be my birthday. (March 15, Medal No. 3015) The only thing I'd trade it for is Medal No. 315

I think it looks cool. I want it because of its rarity, and how it looks.

I'd gladly trade one or two of my hats for the medal (PM me if you're interested), but I don't believe in "Value". I may throw in something extra to persuade someone, but never "this hat is worth x"

Scary, ain't it?

There's only 11111 medals. There are probably over 100,000 unusuals by now I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an Unusual for it. Hell I wouldn't even take an Unusual for mien if I had one.

If you don't get an Unusual for it now, keep it. The number of medals won't change, but there will be more and more Unusuals over time. Just like hats were rare once but today almost everyone got one - at least on the servers I regular. It's most certainly worth a good Unusual on SPUF. The medal itself isn't very notable, but people keep trading it for its "market value". It's a trading token like crates, but much more worth.

Poketama, i highly doubt that 10% of the player base already has an unusual. That's not even possible. On the other hand. I traded my unusual for medal + 5 hats. Then i traded the medal + 2 hats for another unusual.

I traded a Billycock + green paint for it. Deal of the century :)

The medal is limited, it's what makes my backpack different from Hat Whore #23455. Unless someone offered something truly unique, and possibly a lot of it, it isn't worth giving up as there will not be any more of them in circulation. Unusual hats may be rare, but more and more of them will pop up every day, whereas something like the medal will never drop again, making it far, far more rare.

The value of the current ones will only go up.

The medal was released at such a shit time that people in the UK and Europe would have had to stay up most of the night (I did anyway, minor insomnia) to get one, and the release wasn't announced until shortly before they were released. Plus there are much fewer medals.
