i was on an unusual trade server trying to get an unusual for my frenchman's beret with flies and this person, Hae6IIIuK traded with me. he offered that scout cap and it had hearts, so naturally i accepted. but then he swapped it around so many times with a vintage one. and he actually accepted with his unusual so i clicked trade now. then, he kept swapping them until i was concentrating on my accept button that i didnt realize i just traded a bonk helm and an unusual frenchman's beret for a vintage cap.
so please, all i ask is for your help. my name on steam is Cinderblock is spooky.
i feel like such an idiot right now. i got this hat by giving my friend 13 crates, and he opened a bunch of them and said if its an unusual with flies, confetti, or circling tf2 logo, you can have it. and this is what i got.
Report on steam forum
Gee, I remember when Team Fortress was actually about PLAYING THE GAME and not about trading hats with each other.
Those were the days...
[editline]1st November 2010[/editline]
But seriously, OP, report it.
[editline]1st November 2010[/editline]
Because everyone will care that you traded a hat away for nothing.
tf2 has changed a lot...
And what did we learn not to do children?
lol if he kept swapping the hat, why did you even trade with him?
Wow how could've you not seen that he changed?
And you're lying, ready to trade button would instantly uncheck if he changed his offer.

use it for trading so you know wether it's an unusual/vintage/normal.
- only check the "ready to trade" box when the space is purple
- if it changes to blue/yellow after you hit ready, say "dude wtf, get serious or gtfo, put the unusual back."
- if he keeps swapping after that, cancel the trade or try swapping your own unusual for a regular hat while he's busy. chances are you manage to scam the scammer.
Report him and make him loose his account.

Thats enabled by default when trading so he's retard.
Thats enabled by default when trading so he's retard.
turned it on as soon as I found out about it and never turned it off afterward, so I had no idea wether it became default or not.
In any case, he is indeed a retard then. The difference between purple and blue is quite noticeable.
edit: @thread starter; baww to steam support and they'll let you undo one trade, but I'm not entirely sure wether that's true (a lot of people say it, but I've never tried it or seen any proof of it).

That'll show him

April: Whenever someone had a hat on the server there'd always be a nice "Nice hat" from someone.
Now: Hats, hats everywhere.
Now: Hats, hats everywhere.
I have a micspam of Spy saying exactly that :v:
It's a blessing in disguise, now instead of searching for trades you can play the game :downs:
Go to his community profile and report there. Provide as much details as possible. You may even get your items back.
You tool.
