• Cel shaded TF2 skin with black outlines?

I saw something similar in fpsbanana a while back, but I forgot the link. Help please.
I never saw one with outlines, I did see one with a different shading style more like cell shading though. I would be interested in this outline thing.
had mod, will find, no outlines though. FOUND 2! http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/72304 http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/63120 Search is thine best friend.
I've always wanted to get TF2 look sketchy, drawn with a pencil. I wonder if it's possible (editing some textures would work)...
youd also have to edit the lightmaps which are a real pain to edit if you ask me, otherwise theyd just look wrong
you could edit the models to create cel-shading but i hink that is really hard but thats the only way
Honestly, I don't think you'll find a proper cell shaded skin of anything, except this: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/56816 That was the only skin done right, and I'm sure it took plenty of work.
I wouldn't bother. Cel-shading usually ends up looking fugly as hell anyway.
I wouldn't bother. Cel-shading usually ends up looking fugly as hell anyway.
Wind Waker.
Wind Waker.
Borderlands
borderlands
XIII caps
Let's make a list of games that look shit with cel shading instead, I'll start. Futurama.
Borderlands
You shitting me, that's one of the few games which had used a uniqueness in cell shading, it's not every day you see it being used the way gearbox are.
XIII caps
Killer 7 and No More Heroes.
Let's make a list of games that look shit with cel shading instead, I'll start. Futurama.
That is a show.(I know it had a game, dumbnuts).
That is a show.(I know it had a game, dumbnuts).
Then why did you say it's a show if you knew I was talking about the game? Rated dumb.
People will start doing cell shading with EVERYTHING once Borderlands comes out... just wait.
Ultimate Spiderman But I thought it looked cool...
Somebody actually made some cell-shaded models, but they were never released because they had a ridiculously huge poly count that serves as a massive, FPS-devouring black hole. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=857393 EDIT: I'd totally make a cell-shaded mod if I had the slightest idea where to begin. If somebody knows and can point me in the right direction, I'd be a happy camper.
The right direction is to copy the model, apply a push modifier, flip all the faces and apply a pure black texture, but it's inefficient and wrong

Something with shaders I guess

GIVE ME THE FUCKING WORK ASSHOLE
To be fair, it really is a big performance hit (doubling the poly count isn't a good thing). It seems that even though VALVe games are some of the most easily moddable, creating new lighting parameters is beyond the scope of what you can reasonably do without making engine-level changes that can't be used with preexisting games. Correct me if I'm wrong. I could probably recreate that same mod now that the character sources are out, but I'm not sure I'd want to. Also, can somebody who knows something about shaders tell me what the hell this guy is suggesting? [editline]09:27PM[/editline] After some Googling, I've found that there are cel-shaders for HLSL, the shader language used by Source. That said, I have no idea how to integrate them or even if it's possible.
