• Launcher Error

Hey guys, I'm in quite the pickle here, wondering if somebody could help me out. Whenever I try to load TF2, I get a screen that says: "Launcher Error. Failed to load the launcher DLL: The specified procedure cannot be found." I've tried restarting Steam and my computer. Other games work fine. Any ideas?
Tf2 works for me.

Still getting this message, even after the patches. Help?
I have this same thing. At first it said that the update is over 3 gigs big and now this. I just want to try the training mode :saddowns:
I also had a problem like that, stating that the update was to big to play TF2 on my computer, even though I had plenty space, although that isn't the problem now. This is starting to piss me off, I haven't played TF2 since yesterday, I wanna get my drops and try out the new stuff.
Gee thanks everyone, not even a single decent suggestion.
Verify game cache. May/May Not work. Just the first thing that comes to mind.
Tried, failed. [editline]01:00PM[/editline] I'm going to re-install and see if that works, for all those people that aren't glued to the other threads rambling about earbuds and stuff, if this doesn't work, I don't know what will.
Re-installing didn't work. I'm really starting to get pissed.
Having the same problem as well. Tried verifying the cache and re-installing.
Just had this very same problem. I fixed it by deleting every single .dll I could find and verifying the cache again.

^ He was bound to be banned eventually. Anyways, I figured out how to solve the problem. Seems with the update, my precious steam_api.dll disappeared. Redownload it, keep it on your desktop somewhere, and you're good to go!
