Seeing as how the other thread has sunk too deep for a rescue team to be feasible. I have taken the liberty of creating a NEW one. My ideas: Pyro: Napalm (Much like Jarate, when doused in this and lit afire, the afflicted player will have these effects activated, airblasting/jarate will have the same effect, but being such short bursts, it would be pointless) -Burn time increased by 3 seconds -Cannot be extinguished by any means except the locker. (However, the damage dealt can be stopped by going into a pool of water, but stepping out will resume the damage if the burning period is still active.) -Takes the second slot Heavy: Russian Helmet (Takes the second slot, but has a hat to represent that it is equipped.) -Any head shot damage taken will be reduced by 50% while revving or firing the minigun/natascha -Cannot be healed while revving/firing by a medic -Takes second slot gat postin
I was thinking of a Flamethrower, instead of airblast, the Pyro can pick up props and shoot them at people.
Thr Russian Helmet is a bad idea but I like the Petroleum Jelly
Russian Helmet sounds pretty counter-productive. However, Petroleum Jelly sounds pretty nice of an idea... but how does it extinguish friends but make foes burn longers?

I assume it doesn't - he merely says that it's like Jarate in that it douses people, not in its effects. It's a neat idea by the way!
What if I took out the Cannot be healed by medic when revved/firing? Would it be better? Or what am I missing here?
Headshots aren't the only killer of heavies - far from it. Losing the ability to be healed by a medic (even if it's just while revving/firing) so that one of the nine opponent classes will have to take an extra shot is a horrible trade off, not even mentioning that you lose the shotgun too. Taking out that con makes it potentially good. Maybe.

(Well, it's possible to extinguish, but it's hard)

Sap building, get crits to kill the engie so he doesn't kill your very fragile sapper that takes +25% the time to destroy.

Hats should have some type of purpose instead of cosmetic purposes. Like the Bonk Helm increases time of the effects of Bonk!, and lowers the time you have to wait to use it again. Batters Helmet makes you take less damage from baseballs. Ushanka makes you deal mini-crit damage to enemy Soldiers, Engineers, Snipers, Medics, and Scouts. Thats all I can think of for now.
[B]Rogue's Rapier[/B]- some guy in the emporium thought of this possible name for it when I mentioned it. My idea is a rapier for the Spy, but no one wants to make it :( I'll post the details so far anyway :v:: Instead of using the regular backstabing animation, it uses the last part of the knifte taunt. As in, he thrusts the rapier forward. I thought of a team coloured ribbon around the handle, to make it look fancy, and perhaps to make it look like more than just a generic sword. Also, fancy guard handle in gold. :3: [U]And possible stats:[/U] -slower attack speed +more damage (when not backstabbing, that is) +longer reach, because a rapier is longer than a knife :downs: or: +reach +damage -the blade is broken in half, and is held together by bandages/tape. So that when you backstab someone (and/or when you get a crit otherwise?), the bandages can't hold it together, so the blade falls apart and needs time to fix (refill bar comes in the picture). Meanwhile it fixes, you have decreased range and damage (and perhaps backstabs don't instakill?) So, there you have it. I [I]think[/I] that was all I had about my rapier... This would only make them rage more, and would divide the community (again)

Low ammo requires the pyro to start it up (think using flint to make a fire) right before each burst. Bursts don't last too long, about two or 3 seconds. The whole idea is to make the Pyro the close-range class that Valve claimed him to be at first. [u][b]Rogue's Rapier[/b]: Basically a longer knife, but requires two stabs. I know, wholly unoriginal. Do two stabs in quick succession, like two-hit combos. Brief pause between combos. For use when you're tailing someone forever but they're always just out of reach, because you know you won't switch to your goddamn reliable gun.[/u] [b]Subtle Skiver[/b]: A millwall brick with a nail in it. Millwall bricks are newspapers that have been layered, rolled up, and bent in half. It is held by the two ends of the newspaper roll - which are usually tied/taped together - and you hit with the bend. To be potentially lethal, sometimes a nail is jutting out of the bend. Can't think of good stats, maybe just a knife replacement. Makes you look like the Poor Man's James Bond with Camera Beard. [b]The Whipcord[/b]: The Engineer's electric cord that dangles from his waist. No longer shows up unless you have it equipped. Acts as a short range electric whip with m1, lassos further targets with m2. Lassoed targets take rapid electrical damage and can still attack. Engineer cannot attack while an enemy is lassoed. Both the Engineer and the target can pull each other during the lassoing. Try to pull them in front of your sentry, or keep them in front of it when they try to shoot it from around the corner. [b]Circular Saw[/b]: A Circular Saw. For Medic. Provides endless possibilities just as a real circular saw does. [b]Vegimate[/b]: The bastard son of Jarate, Vegimate is still jar-based, but instead of pill-enhanced piss you use Vegimite! Coats enemies in disgusting Vegimite, making them sticky, slow, and a shade of brown. Coated enemies move slower and get stuck to walls. Imagine a decent magnet and a frying pan for the difficulty of wall-mercenary seperation.
