I realised, with some dismay, over the past couple of days that I have been playing TF2 since the trading update for very different reasons than I had before. Instead of going on as usual to enjoy mucking around with friends or trying to get into that MVP list at the end, it was suddenly all about hats and keys. Keys and hats. Instead of first checking for any new developments in the actual game on this subforum, now I was checking the Trading Thread first. I was honestly spending more time on trading servers than my usual favourite haunts such as FPUK.
I still think Team Fortress 2 is a fantastic game, but I want to go back to the way I played before the Mann Co update, and I think the best way I can go about that is just forgetting about hats, paints, nametags and whatever else really doesn't change gameplay.
So here we go, the only things I'm keeping are the non-tradeables, my weapons and my Glengarry Bonnet, partially because I'm scottish myself, but mainly because it was found by my girlfriend in the whole 5 minutes she played TF2 a week after the classless update. Just post in this thread, I'll generate 10 randoms numbers tomorrow around 12 noon GMT, whoever gets generated first gets first pick of 2 items, second gets second pick, third and so on. I know it might take awhile to divvy out the items this way but I think it's the fairest. Oh, and if you did actually read the slight brick of text above the shiny list of free items, I thank you
