So, I've had this problem for a long time now, and I'm desperate.
Basically my tf2 just stops and loops a sound for a few seconds and just closes without errors after few minutes of play.
I have done everything I've found from google and it seems nothing helps
And i have found what crashes me, if a medic explodes i crash instantly, yup you heard me right. :v:
my system specs are:
cpu: Q9550
gfx: HD 4870
ram: 4 gigs of 800 mhz a-data
psu: Corsair 630W ATX 2.2
So, anyone have this same problem (which i doubt) or do you know anything i could try to fix this?
Funny, thats what happened to me a long time ago. It stopped after my comp died and had to send it in to Geek Squad (fuckers kept it for a long ass time, and it was under warranty so why not eh?) afterward it ran like a Kenyan. Still does
did you try to reinstall tf2?

Yes, i did a clean install for windows 7 few months back and i had this problem with xp as well.
New drivers?
I had this problem with vista. When I installed xp it worked like a charm.
Play on servers that have gibbing disabled, or try what more smarter people than me are suggesting.
Disable Multicore?

Very, isn't there a way to disable gibbing clientside? And have you tried if -funnygibs (or something) works?
Try installing some custom gibs from fpsbanana, you never know it might somehow work
