i know they are glitched but how are they obtained? is it crafted and BOOM a vintage token appears or is it another way?
Steam Support used to have a glitch where returned items sometimes returned in vintage form.

I may be wrong, but I think it's granted to one through Steam Support.
kick-ass username you got there, mate.

though i'd rather not bother with steam support just because you want a vintage <something>. they already have a lot of work on their shoulders, and farming stuff out of them is a rather cynical thing to do.

I've heard tales of people just asking for one of their items to be a certain quality, like a Stock Black Rose, or a Tradable Bolt-Action, but from what you're saying, can you actually just waltz up to Steam Support and say "hey I want this item to be vintage"?
steam support is run by people, who can be fooled.
hence why you can find people with vintage scrap/reclaimed/refined metal http://stats.tf/item/5002/Refined_Metal
I thought it was just after the vintage items came in, if people deleted their item cand asked for steam support they'd replace the items, but due to an error they'd come back vintage. It doesn't work any more and hasn't for years, but you may get the item in "normal" quality if support mess up
okay thanks everyone for your answers!
good luck on your way back to SPUF.
