So Valve posted a weapon that practically can only be acquired by paying money for it, then a couple of weeks later severely nerfs it. Granted it's a joke item and a cheap one at that, but still, isn't that a bit skeevy?
It's ok the Sticky Jumper is currently brilliant
What? You could craft it, and find it too.
Didn't know you could find it
Hence the "practically". A 33% drop on a 8-weapon craft is not really feasible.
Still sucks that if you pay for something, they can make it unusable to you. If you paid for it, even .50, you should still have the item you purchased not a "fixed" one.
It's ok the Sticky Jumper is currently brilliant
Because it hurts people. :v:
Un-nerf Add new console command mp_allowrocketjumper Jump maps and training maps have it allowed and normal servers can turn it off wabam
I was having a lot of fun with it, now it's useless.
What did they change?
What did they do to it? :(
Cuts your health by half.
That's stupid, even MORE damage than the normal rocket launcher!!!
Because it hurts people. :v:
"Oh that demoman can't detonate his stickies because he'll kill himself WHAT THE FUCK BOOM" "Oh i'm too close to him he can't pipebomb me or he'll get hurt WHAT THE FUCK BOOM" [editline]28th October 2010[/editline]
Cuts your health by half.
Does it at least save you from fall damage now?
That's stupid, even MORE damage than the normal rocket launcher!!!
...What? When equipped, the Rocket Jumper reduces your health by 100, leaving with you 100 health. It does 0 damage to enemy players. [editline]28th October 2010[/editline]
Does it at least save you from fall damage now?
Not that I know of, no. Which is lame.
SPUF players were butthurt to see Rocket Jumper+Shotgun+Equalizer soldiers on their servers
...What? When equipped, the Rocket Jumper reduces your health by 100, leaving with you 100 health. It does 0 damage to enemy players.
I know, i mean, the rocket launcher does not cut your healt in half when you RJ!
It should negate all fall damage otherwise it's useless.
Winner above me
It should negate all fall damage otherwise it's useless.
So should the Sticky Jumper.
So should the Sticky Jumper.
But of course.
It should negate all fall damage otherwise it's useless.
Same goes for the Stickyjumper. Well, I guess the Stickyjumper will NEVER be fixed, because if they make the SJ deal no damage to enemies, the grenades wouldn't either.
If it negated fall damage, that would make it reasonable again. Though you can actually already negate fall damage with it if you fire a rocket at your feet to cushion your fall before you hit the ground. I still haven't gotten that down well enough, though. :v: I'm really sad that they nerfed it, though. I didn't think it was broken; removing the ability to hurt anyone with rockets is a pretty huge con. I know it's supposed to be a "training" weapon, but it was viable for actual play if you used it right and opened up a new play style for the Soldier.
^^ What he said
Meh That 49 cents were worth for 3 weeks
So should the Sticky Jumper.
Suddenly, stickyjumping with 8 stickies, reaching the top of the skybox, and capping.
brb fact checking
brb fact checking
What fact?
I was going to say you can't die from fall damage even if you jump as high as 8 bombs, but I don't remember. That's how it works in TF2 isn't it?
