Hey guys -
I just tried running TF2 for the first time in a while (there's been a few updates since I last played), and basically what happens is, it starts up, gets through the Valve thing, and then crashes. Then it gives the error mesage "Invalid file id for c:\program files\steam\steamapps\myusername\team fortress 2\hl2\resource\closecaption.dat"
What the hell do I do to fix this? When I checked that directory, there is no closecaption.dat file. Does anybody know how to get past this? Thanks.
First thing to do would to be verify cache files.
