Hello. I am here to give you ideas so you can make some hats in blender. Maybe some weps too. I would do these myself, but I am shit and will always BE shit. If (and when) we upload these to the workshop, we will split the amount of money we get, because I supply ideas, and you make them happen. Idea Guys are getting ballsy
Honestly if I were an idea guy, I would be happy with getting a 1% cut of what some of these guys are making. If I "contributed" to enough accepted submissions I'd probably be looking at a healthy sum of pocket change.

Since everyone is making fun of him without explaining why, allow me to be the boring person.
'Idea guy' is, basically, a legitimate role. I'm kinda one. People with modeling skills can run out of ideas, and if someone else suggests something that appeals to them, they may very well pick it up and share the revenue with he person who came up with it.
That being said, idea guys are at the absolute bottom of the hierarchy. Despite what inspiring Einstein quotes about creativity may tell you, coming up with ideas is by far the easiest part of the item making process, and only a fraction of the ideas suggested by idea guys ever get picked up by anyone.
If you get an idea, give it a second (and third, and fourth) thought and make sure it's actually one worth suggesting, then head over to the existing Emporium thread and explain it straightforwardly in a post. If you're really lucky, someone may make it and add you as a contributor for 10% or something. Most likely they won't, in which case you let it go and try with some other idea later.
Don't make a new thread just for your ideas. Don't tell people to add you on Steam to get the privilege of listening to you. Don't talk about 'splitting' the revenue. Don't expect people to compete to get to you first.

I honestly wouldn't care if someone used my idea and I got no profit from it. Still something that spawned from my creation, basically. I'd be happy enough if something gets in game.
