• Leftover medic call

While messing with some console commands I found this playgamesound command. It makes your character yell out a sound in sync with their mouth. It doesn't require cheats and its client side only. What really makes it weird is the leftover medic call they forgot to remove. you just need to use playgamesound tf2player.saveme. If you want to try some more then try playgamesound soundhere,it gives you a list in the console. I used nope first and then the leftover medic call later. [editline]02:48PM[/editline] Heres another video of the command
Medeeek!MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK1!!!!!!!!! shame that's client side only
Hopefully its leftover material from the idea of tf2 in a different world with aliens and crap that team gaben is restoring.
oh god how have I not known about this? too bad it's client-side only. :sigh:
Its useful in scripts for random sound effects and noises.
anyone have any good scripts to include these into various actions?
This was for the unimplemented civilian class if I recall correctly.
Medic sounds like: "Fucking law!" Hilarious :D
It's probably for the civilian, he has death sounds too. [editline]10:27AM[/editline] oh wow i got ninja'd by five minutes
It wasn't for civilian it was a placeholder before they had voice acting. You can hear it in the older trailers.

Quick, someone play a Pyro sound on Spy and see if his mouth moves.
Pyro has no mouth.
No you don't.
Do mouths move when someone uses the pyro's voice?
Do mouths move when someone uses the pyro's voice?
From the video which I just saw, no.
Medic saying Fuck the Law [editline]04:11PM[/editline] Awesome
I like to think those placeholder lines are Robin's.
That boy ain't right...
Fuckeh no
Never knew this
This should be useful for machinima.

EXCUSE ME l AM IN NEED OF MEDICAL ATTETNION
Sounds like Bill
Someone make a video where an engie runs up to a scout and spams "need a dispenser here!" Then the scout says the engies "sure thing", pulls out a toolbox, and builds a dispenser. :O
This could be really useful for source film maker videos as now you don't have to rely on voice menus.
But how could the scout build a dispenser?
I think he means get the ragdoll scout to make it in GMod, or something like that
This could be really useful for source film maker videos as now you don't have to rely on voice menus.
I was about to say that it's been on the SFM wiki for a while, but it doesn't seem to be there. Time to add it! And yeah, it's very useful - it was mentioned way back in the first thread and saves a lot of time in machinima making.
