• So, is the announcer just making them fight for amusement?

I was wondering, cause I know we had the whole Blutarch and Redmond story, but if she controlls both sides... then doesn't that mean she could end a war? It kinda means she does it for amusemnt... The recent comic has got me thinking.
She does it because she's the announcer, her jobs is to announce things of importance. She is neutral in every way and her only directive is to ensure the continued fighting of BLU and RED.
Pauling is the real brains behind all this.
If she'd do it for amusement she wouldn't be so grumpy. :v:
It would make sense. I mean there isnt a clear objective in this endless war so the only obvious explanation is there is no war. It's a crazy old bat's sick twisted game of death.
I assume she hates Redmond and Blutarch enough that she'd enjoy prolonging the conflict... wait, is she even Zephaniah's wife?
no she does it for sexual pleasure oh yeah fire your crocket right into my control point mmh :shlick:
I see this as a kind of 1984 conflict, where the war serves no purpose other than to expend resources...
She took over both companies, but kept it secret. The bitch.
Eye Museum XD
She does it so she can prepare for the in-game version of that fanfic based on I Have No Mouth but I Must Scream.

Guys, she's not called the Announcer anymore. They changed her name to the Administrator several blog posts back and she's called that in this comic, too. She's more than just an announcer and she quite clearly has a high level of control over both sides, hence she is able to give the direction to order equipment from Hale for both sides. So unless Valve later articulates that descendants of Redmond and Blutarch are still around and in control, we can assume that the Administrator, descendant of Mann's maidservant Elizabeth to whom he left his entire estate and all deeds, is controlling both sides. Her motives are unknown.
Administrator, eh? Then this is all a combine simulation. Pitting these guys against each other for their entertainment. Hmm... Shit just got real.
:gonk:
:smug:
The Announcer actually joined the two of their bodies together at one point, experimenting with different methods of fusion, but it hardly seemed to make much of a difference. The mental image of the two of them kissing while Medic’s head was next to Heavy’s on the giant Russian’s shoulders will be permanently burned into my memory forever. Her fun ruined, she separated them again. She likes to separate them whenever she can.
Honestly that's not so bad, partly because my brain (thankfully) refuses to come up with a mental image to go with it.

Most of their wars have a goal. Territory control, destroying the other's base, etc etc.
:gonk:
Heavy reels Medic in even closer to him than he was before, and grunts. Soldier, too, hugs Shovel tight to him. I am reminded of the sight of Soldier masturbating while holding the shaft of the tool against penis, thrusting and rubbing against it like a dog humping a man’s leg. It was not something he only did once, either. He does it regularly.

It’s Pyro. No doubt about it. Only, we knew Pyro was a man. He’s not anymore. His… no, her proportions are so terribly exaggerated that we can barely stand to look at her. Her breasts are so swollen and heavy she’s bent over, carrying them in her arms, wheezing through the filter of the gasmask still covering her head. She’s looking up at us, and though I cannot see her eyes I can tell she is still pleading at us, begging for our mercy.
ITT: Make NotPigeon have an emotional breakdown.
Z.M. Did put her in charge of finding the gravel that he was looking for (and put it in a pit), and it's obvious Redmond and Blutarch were very interested in it, so it's entirely possible that Redmond and Blutarch are still in control of the companies and the land they own, but if the Announcer owns the gravel (the source of the conflict) and for whatever reason neither one of them is able to take it from her forcefully, who ends up getting the gravel is a decision entirely of her own, and thus RED and BLU have no real control over what happens unless they decide to give up on getting the gravel. Also with this "mercenaries" business, it could be that the players technically were not hired by RED or BLU, but rather they all work for the Announcer, and RED and BLU paid her for their services so that they had manpower to use against the other team. In this case, she wouldn't be making the players fight for amusement, but rather to make money off of RED and BLU. And they call her the Administrator because she's the head of her company. Most likely TF Industries or some part of it.
ITT: Make NotPigeon have an emotional breakdown.
Also: Making me skip half the posts made so I don't get curious and read those fanfics. AredBomb: That's a pretty good observation, and probably pretty likely. Well done.

The fanfic isn't that bad anymore. Once you play TF2 for awhile you get over it.
