Well with the update coming up how do you think the new items will be distributed I'd say you'd have to do achievements for the blueprints and then you'd have to craft it.
That kind of makes sense, actually. Would still be a bitch getting more material, especially if you deleted all of your dupes. I've kept mine :smug: [editline]07:35PM[/editline] I think they will keep with achievements/random drops, though.
I think random drops + crafting. Maybe achievements too?
Probably all three (random drops, milestones, crafting). Though you're wrong about the unlocking blueprints part. It was already confirmed that blueprints are not items you unlock but are instead item combinations that you have to discover on your own.

Soon or later there will be a website with most of the possible combinations and they results :/
Soon or later there will be a website with most of the possible combinations and they results :/
Valve should make the blueprints change every day/week/etc.
My guess is all three methods. It just makes sense.
I really can't wait to find out just how many blueprints there will be.
I think the new ones will require crafting only.
Valve should make the blueprints change every day/week/etc.
That would be very unrewarding.
I think the new ones will require crafting only.
I may be misunderstanding, but you have to get items to make items. Do you really think you'd be able to make soldier weapons out of scout weapons? I doubt it. Nevermind. I have been learned.
Maybe you will be able to have random metal like in the picture so that you can build soldier weapons
I think the new ones will require crafting only.
They already mentioned this on the crafting page.
If you’re super clever, you’ll even be able to craft new items before others can earn them the old fashioned way.

Maybe you will be able to have random metal like in the picture so that you can build soldier weapons
Ah, that would make sense.
Hmm, what about if blueprints were totally random stats and names, like Borderlands?
I'm not so sure about crafting the new weapons. I'm fairly certain that the new weapons will be received from achievements as always, so why would you want to craft duplicates?

They will be distributed by Crafting, Achievements and Random Drop
They will be distributed by Saxton Hale personally visiting you in spawn and ramming the new item down your windpipe.
Because then you could craft them into a trophy hat. :)
What I said completely flew over your head.
I really can't wait to find out just how many blueprints there will be.
There will probably be as many blueprints as actually possible
Valve has got the random weapon stats ready, but they are unsure about releasing them in this update.. Also, random blueprint drop? Getting blueprints from achievements would be wrong, what if someone already unlocked the achievements..
Yeah, i'm guessing all three, especially considering the shitstorm everyone got into about the lack of the ability to get the snipers/spies unlocks through achievements initially. But i'm guessing they'll eventually phase out achievement unlocks when trading comes or something. @ Reg Robin said you don't find blueprints, you "discover" them by putting weapons into the crafting section and finding something that works.
Hmm, what about if blueprints were totally random stats and names, like Borderlands?
Vitaliy said that they already can do that. but they are unsure if they will release it in this very update.
Achievements.

Achievements :smug:
Crafting, Achievements, and drop system.
The current method+ crafting. But I do not think that they are going to ad new weapons. Maybe after the class updates.
