If any of you listen to the Control Point podcast (Valve has mentioned that they listen to every episode) they discussed valve making more of a tf2 story.
Also Control Point has caused a bunch of things in tf2
They said the heavy update should get a sandwich to eat for health
They caused the "Makin Bacon" achievement for the heavy
They week that they mentioned there is no for real way to train Singleplayer training mode style in tf2 they put up that link to the walkway map
They have done alot more stuff I cant remember thats influenced valve so IMO they're just adding to the story for fun, and you should wait a little to start going OMG THEY SAID COMPETETION THAT MEANS TO CLASSES COMPETING FOR UPDATE
