What the hell is the Halo-caust? - Games

I've seen people around here talking about this thing and i have no idea what it is,can anyone help me explain this?

Basically along time ago idlers that used an idling program were punished and got their items removed and didn't get a halo as a hat, and when people did get them and wear them in servers, they usually got trolled, kicked, or even banned.

Really annoying at the time, but at least I can say it was yet another series of weeks where I stayed heavily involved in this ever-aging game. :v: Seems that no matter what Valve does, positive or negative, I keep spending my time playing this game or at least participating closely in its community.
