Idling isnt a gamemode.
Balloon Race isnt a gamemode.
I had an idea for a game mode based on a mode from UT3.
Power Cores.
Both teams can attack the other team. Each base has 3 Power cores throughout their base, and a central power core that when destroyed the game is over.
Each Power core can be repaired slowly over time or by Engineers who hit them with their wrench. Broken power cores cannot be fixed. Destroying all power cores causes the last core to become more vulnerable and open to attack. Each power core should have like 1000 HP or more. Engineer's need 1 metal to restore 1 health to the Power cores.
When a power core is destroyed, the lighting and soundscapes in the area it was in suddenly go out, to signify that they lost massive amounts of power in that area. When only the last central power core remains, the enemy base is totally open, dark, quiet, except for gunfire maybe, and takes more damage in general. When it is destroyed it also blows up in a super massive explosion.
