Ok, so I was downloading some music when I decided I'd check the war hub to see if the latest kill-counts were up, with my internet being slowed by the download, i managed to spot something off the edge of the page, before the main image loaded, something that wasn't noticeable before -

Now I don't know if I'm just being dumb, but it looks pretty suspicious to me. The blood stain appears to load after the other separate images but before the main one.

nice observation, it makes me wonder if its the past day's newspaper.
I'm sorry but this has been posted on here before you should try to search before posting more.
Valve are reusing the background from one of the older newspaper updates.
Yeah probably a reused template.
This is stupid. Those two corners of the newspaper are separate images because they don't fit inside the boundary of the larger one. The READ MOREs and kill counts are separate because they're links. That is all.

Hence different pictures.
I saw that, and I think many others did on the first page of the update.
