So, as far as i know the TF2 bots work with navmeshes, right? Couldn't they work on deathmatch maps too? I mean, theoretically give thim an objective similar to Horsemann AKA chase a target to death for a spesific period of time, but give up if it escapes hopelessly out of reach. I was wondering this because i really would want to play stuff like dm_mario_kart_2v2 and stuff with the bots, as they're pretty fun to play with in my opinion, more fun than most pubfags anyways, but all they do now is strafe sideways in spawn. I tried generating a navmesh but the game crashed. Funny how back in CS:S the navmesh automatically started generating and never crashed the game, but here it crashes on the first try. God damn.
I think its because the bots are programmed to only navigate to objectives such as control points and therefore do not understand maps without those kind of objects. To be honest i'm not sure.
Yeah, i kinda thought of the same thing. That's why i wonder couldn't the bot Ai be altered slightly to make them think all enemy players are carrying ehtir intelligence? That way they would have to kill the players to defend their intelligence, but as no intelligence is dropped, they continue to go after other enemies. Maybe saigns.de bots could work on DM-maps.
There's no bot AI for CTF yet.
One of my head admins managed to get bots working on payload maps. They even stand near the cart and push it.

The payload is basically a moving control point, they understand how to stop it and make it go forward.
