TF2 Emporium Halloween Event 2k13 - Games

The last two years, we've been given the opportunity of the Night of the Living Update. A community-created Halloween update with loads of mod downloads and workshop links. This year, things are different. Scary, right? This year, we'll be leading a new breed of NOTLU. It's really much more of a spiritual successor. Like a ghost. The Bioshock to their System Shock. With hosting graciously given by TF2Mods, the new importer, and Source Filmmaker, we'll be able to mass-produce and mass-promote the [i]hell[/i] out of whatever comes of this project. Like recent years, we'll be accepting all sorts of scary skeletons, horrifying heads, pyro heads replacements, and ghastly ghosts. Hosted by the ever-spooky Void and and spine-chilling BADGERPIG, we'll be setting a [i]dead[/i]line of September 30th. But it is advised, preferable, and encouraged to have work done before then. It'll make the website's life easier when it goes live in early October. We'll also be armed to the teeth with talented artists to do all sorts of promotional artwork for the items, so there's also that. Use this thread to post updates, work-in-progress shots for feedback, and just general discussion of it as a whole. When items are done, compile and pack them up properly, and email them to [email]tf2halloween2k13@gmail.com[/email] so we can ship them out to artists. Workshop uploads can be made whenever and on any privacy settings. This update is about the mod releases, and will help to further their promotion down the road! I'm in, sure. Had a lot of my own Halloween ideas to try, would be no trouble to just make them part of the event.

I'm available if anyone needs effects done for items, provided you're able to get the attachments to work.

Are maps being accepted in like they were in NOTLU? I'd like to contribute something I can actually do moderately almost-well.

Does this mean we're gonna get a SHODAN head for Pyro or something this year?

I think this year's the year I make a couple item concepts and try to learn to model; count me in.

I really hope this gets a Robotic Boogaloo-esque treatment. It'd be nice to have all the stuff from NOTLU as opposed to only a few things.
