is it just me, or are more East or mid east servers better than west coast servers?

it seems West Coast servers always have more players who don't know how to play the game than more East Coast servers
I don't know, seems to depend on the server from what I've seen rather then the location, servers like skial and standard valve servers will often have inexperienced players regardless of where the server is while servers that are less known will have more skilled players also not often affected by the location. But you could be correct.
I play primarily on east coast and pretty much almost all servers I run into are full of people who haven't played a game that requires communication in their life.
Doesn't matter where you are; almost all pubs are bad.
I've noticed in allot of west coast servers, that if a team starts losing, half of that losing team leaves the server, and then next round autobalance so now the server has like half as many people, and then people get mad at the less amount of players or autobalance and then leave, then the server is dead. It's like they only want neverending team Deathmatch
Happens on east coast too. It's just players who don't understand the game.
TF2 just has a ridiculously, absurdly low skill floor. If you want good players, either find a single good server with a nice community, or go competitive.

There's rarely any good servers, so your best bet is to play competitive (This does not mean TF2lobby.)

You know I've gone comp before, what stops me from constantly playing comp is very little of my friends wanna do it. I mostly did TF2 mixes though. What's a good way to get more entrenched in it? I wanted to be with friends because I knew allot of the randoms even in mix sucked
I am in a HL team, but I'm not too familiar with getting more into it, probably because I am right now also trying to get into it.
I know pick up games and stuff are just for fun in a more serious format than a pub. If you wanna do 6s or HL try finding teams that are looking for players. You will make more friends that way.

Dunno where to go for pugs and mixes or what have you.
