Well couple days ago this problem just came from nowhere. Even servers that allows you to download map from their server dosent allow me to download it. What should i do?
You could try and find it on FPSB: http://www.fpsbanana.com/games/297 Also are you on a Mac? Custom map downloading is kinda broken on OSX
And my hosting worked fine 1 week ago and now it wont work either. [editline]27th December 2010[/editline] I am using Windwos vista. [editline]27th December 2010[/editline] And dont say download it from TF2Maps.com or FPSBanana because these maps aint at those places.
Check your options, downloading might be disabled.
Come in seeking advice, make fun of people giving advice. Poor form.
Well half of threads about this problem on Steam forums dosent even have answer for this problem. Only one post from other user and it says is your cl_allowdownloads 1.
- What is the file name in case somebody knows of a dl location - What kind of error is it bringing up - Do you have a partially completed version of that file in your maps folder? If so, delete it. - Are you able to contact the server owner to provide the file? These are things
When i join to server it skips everyfile realy fast and when it ends to map file it just rejects from downloading it. Disconnect Missing map mapname.bsp It dosent even try to download it. Nope. I cant even download map (or any files) from a lan game.
From some standard googling this appears to be a server problem if it's for a specific server, but based on what you said this is for any custom map that you don't have?
Every server with a map that i dont own.
And the actual mapname is mapname.bsp? What kind of odd mapname is that. [editline]27th December 2010[/editline] http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1252123 Haha, I have no idea if that would even make it work but worth a shot seems like the same issue. Post #15 the one he got it working on http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=16621779&postcount=15 [editline]27th December 2010[/editline] http://www.ownagepranks.com/forums/t13678/ Same dude, also fixed the problem by turning off LAN proxy in IE
Where the heck is IE's proxy options? Never used that browser regulary.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Change-proxy-settings-in-Internet-Explorer Google ;)
Well look at that. It works.
