I tried a new form of video format, and it seems that the like/dislike ratio is about the same. I'd

I want to start off by saying that I normally do commentary, I only started about a month ago and I am constantly trying to improve my craft and at the same time i'm trying out new ideas and seeing what sticks and doesn't.
Recently I got the idea to make a Batman Spy video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDwHDRpvLhQ
It seems that some people clearly don't like it but some people love it, as a YouTuber trying to gauge the interest levels and different things I could do to make it better the next time around i'd love some honest feedback from you guys on this topic!
Also, i've never seen a forum setup quite like Facepunch so I have absolutely no idea if I am posting this in the right section!

I think you should check the rules before making a thread. You are supposed to post this kind of stuff in the "Media Megathread". You might get some advice there too.
BTW, welcome to Facepunch, enjoy your stay.
The commentary is alright, but the machinima-esque talking over the characters muted doing voicelines is really outdated and just plain embarassing for 2014 standards (in my opinion).

Yeah I probably should have, i'll post there as well. Thank you!
You're trying way too hard to be funny. Like an adult entertaining his 2 year old.

SFM is probably best for anything like that, but gmod is.. Exceptional (?) if you do the lipsyncing and stuff right.

That's some good advice and analogy, i'll work on not having it as scripted with lines and just letting the humor be subtle.

Oh yeah, that's way beyond my league haha, i'd have to really practice with more of these types of voice over shorts until I become comfortable. I'm most likely not going to keep pursuing these if enough people don't enjoy them though, i'd have to go back to the drawing board and come up with some kind of new concept.
