• Question about items that cut into eachother

I noticed a number of misc. items and hats will often cut into eachother if used at the same time, making one overlap the other. Does anyone know if the party phantom and voodoo juju for spy does this?

For reference, items cutting into each other is commonly referred to as "clipping". Other than that looks like Marik answered your question. :P

By the way, you can test any item combination and any paint on anything by doing this: 1. enable developer's console 2. bind the command testitem to a key (if not you'll have to type it in console manually) 3. type "map item_test" into console 4. join Team BLU and as the class you want to test 5. hit the key where you bound testitem to or type it into console 6. give the class you want to see the items you want and fiddle a bit around with the options -> the class will spawn with these items and if you're of the same class, it'll appear on you as well and you can see it by taunting or typing "sv_cheats 1; thirdperson" into console. It's more reliable than using a wiki because you can see how the colors look in combination with the rest of the class.
Paint the phantom black and it fits even better.
Dangeresque and Juju. CLIPPY DEMOMAN
BRB, emailing Robin and suggesting he make the Fez's shades a misc but still required for the Saharan set. :fuckyou:
alright, it's working like a charm, except I don't know where the hat models are stored :x
If you open the file browser you should get into the folder of the current class. Sometimes the filename differs from the name the hat has ingame, so you either have to google for a list or experiment/guess a bit. All-class-hats like the Juju have their own folder. To access them, go one folder up in the hierarchy and you should see one folder per class + 1 all class folder. I've searched my models folder and a number of other places too. Where is it located specifically?
models/player/items/

[editline]8th January 2011[/editline] By the way, you can also load custom models (as intended) and hats or Miscs from other classes: just don't expect them to fit properly.
