Money well spent?
Think of all this stuff he could afford with this money.
But no, let's spend it on 200 crates instead!
I demand that he craft all the weapons he got, craft them into hats, craft those hats with the hats he unboxed, then use the end result and describe it with-
"This hat cost me 498 USD"
Seen this before. Welcome to the world of statistics.
If you roll a million dice wil a million sides each a million times for each dice you are bound to end up with all 1's eventually.
Percentages don't stack.
That's why I criticise MikeV and other tools who spent so much money for bunch of pixels.
You could get like goddamn TV, or PS3 or something that would certainly entertain you more than some hats.
So desperate for a....... pixel in a game?
Oh my god.

It is possible, but it is so improbable that it isn't going to happen.
Not to mention he could have even bought at least 1 Unusual with so much money.
Surprised his Steam account wasn't disabled.
He spent so much it would seem like he is going batshit with somebody's credit card.
Not to mention he could have even bought at least 1 Unusual with so much money.
He could've got sunbeams modest pile or sunbeams Kabuto.
I'm serious jeez.
everyone saying he is a tool and/or pathetic: you are dumb and did not even give it a thought that he might be doing it for the notoriety and not JUST because he wanted an unusual
Not to mention he could have even bought at least 1 Unusual with so much money.
He could have bought 16 Flies/Fetti Unusuals
Or easily more than 5 top teir ones
He could have bought 16 Flies/Fetti Unusuals

Just don't speak please.
How do you know he bought them?
Son of a bitch, I need that critacola!
He shouldve given the money to charity or to orphans instead.
It is possible, but it is so improbable that it isn't going to happen.
No, it can happen, it's just so unlikely that we think it isn't going to happen. It's like saying that flipping 50 heads on a coin in a row is impossible, when it's completely possible, just very unlikely.
everyone saying he is a tool and/or pathetic: you are dumb and did not even give it a thought that he might be doing it for the notoriety and not JUST because he wanted an unusual
your dumb
Also this is his backpack now

The fuck did all of the stuff go? I don't assume he crafted it all
He has festive winter crates. lolwut.
your dumb
thank you for that nice and helpful comment i am sure you graduated at the top of your class
A guy on my local trading server was unboxing 15 crates and was about to buy 15 keys. I warned him to not buy the keys as he will not get an unusual.
He told me to fuck off. He bought 15 keys and used them all.
His best item he got was a Cadaver's Cranium.
"hey mom i spent 500 dollars" "on what, was it something useful?" "yes, i bought virtual keys to open virtual boxes to get virtual toys and hats!" ":colbert:"
His chance was: 98.98%
What.
Let's assume the chance is 1% (from the TF2wiki I guess)
Chance for 1 crate to not contain an unusual is 0.99 then.
Chance for n crates to not contain an unusual is 0.99^n then.
Chance for 200 crates to not contain an unusual is ~0.134 = 13.4%
So his chance was 86.6%
Seriously where did you people learn your math
i like toys... and hats
waoh...
I could of used that money on my account for a new computer...
