Sent a steam ticket in hopes they would send me the "Delete everything but Steam.exe and Steamapps" response (It seems to work for people that get that response, but not for people that didn't, suggesting they manually do something with your account), and got this instead:

This is a mass response to several related issues for Team Fortress 2 that have occurred in the past few days. The in-game item system was temporarily down which may have resulted in the following:
- "Server lost connection to Steam" error message
- item loadouts not being available
- items not being granted after completing achievements
Item loadouts should now be accessible and any missing achievement items should be granted within the next day or two. We thank you for your patience.
If this message does not address your issue, please reply back. "
For gods sake you people just need to wait it out.
VALVe will fix it.
I like how they really read the message instead of telling you to reinstall the game and to read the support database. (I'm looking at you, EA :rolleyes:)
