I started using textmode recently, for TF2 so I could idle. Anyways, for some reason, I get these beeping noises. But the thing is that they aren't coming from my PC. They're coming from my speakers. I think when someone gets killed or dies it makes a beep. When I turn off my speakers, I hear nothing. I read about the net beep stop or something, but I also read that that works when its the speakers INSIDE your case, so I don't think that applies here.
How can I fix it?

Reason - Textmode makes your PC beep when unicode characters appear in the console.
Solution - Launch SourceTools.bat, and select option 3 [Extra tools]. Then select enable/disable beep sound. Follow the instructions[/QUOTE]

Will that work even though I'm using textmode?
It will if you're using source tools.
Learn how to use source tools, its much better
Or just google a way to disable console beeps. I use xp x64 that doesn't have the ability to console beep.
