When I try launching Team Fortress 2, it doesn't do anything. My avatar has a green border (as if I'm in a game) and goes back blue after a second. I've attempted fixing this by rebooting Steam, verifying game integrity, defragging the cache files, rebooting my PC, re-installing Team Fortress 2, and then deleting clientregistry.blob. I've been attempting to fix this for two hours now, and any help would be appreciated.

I admit that my computer is nice, but part of the reason is that I back my Team Fortress 2 on a MyBook.
that happened to me, try deleting your bin folder in your steamapps/USERNAME/team fortress 2 folder

make a backup though, if it doesnt work
This happened to me as well, I was told to delete my tf folder and that fixed it, but I would recommend just listening to The_Newb2 above me first.
