Since their inception with Bill's Hat, promotional hats have been hotly desired/decried. But what are they worth? The hat's value varies, but seems to be either "godlike" or "worthless".
So, select all the promo hats you think are worthless, or not worth a 1:1 trade for another hat.

Alien Swarm Parasite, Ellis Cap and the Dealer's Visor
Parasite, seeing as you can get it with little effort by downloading a free game and playing it for a bit, rather than trading or buying a game like with every other hat there now.
If we're going in terms of rarity dealer's visor isn't that worthless

Exactly - it's rarer than Bill's, but the community treats it like it's worth as much as a Gibus.

Thats because it looks really bad while Bill's looks good on almost all the classes.
Probably the parasite, as anyone can get it and it looks as ugly as hell to boot.

Most of them are priceless, since they are limited. Bill's Hat, Max Head, Lumb Lid, Visor, and KF set.
Ellis Cap and Parasite are worth a scrap each if you're lucky.
Nothing in the game is "worthless." I hate people who try to assign arbitrary values to these items like they're some sort of currency. Just because most people don't want a parasite doesn't make it worth nothing. There'll always be someone who will trade you for it.
Honestly, I hate the whole fucking economy thing that's popped up in this game. People trying to force values upon one another like a bunch of sheep. People who trade for a hat simply because it's supposed "valuable" even if they don't like it.
If anyone votes for Max's Head, you do realize people trade them for more than an unusual right?

Yes I do.
I'd say the Parasite and Max's Head. I see both as ugly and unfitting.
Parasite and Lid, IMO. Although I will admit, the Holy Hand Grenades that Soldier gets with the Lumbricus are kinda cool, so that kinda makes it a bit more worth it, though the Lumbricus Lid itself isn't anything too special.

Well, it looks good and it fits to most classes! While the Lid is ... meh.
Max's Head
Parasite, as it is the only one associated with a free game. Judging value depending on appearances is purely subjective.
I hate myself for giving away the Max's Hat.

Without a doubt the Parasite. Honestly I think the only reason Valve made it is so people could test their new type of game. Think about it, how many moron players would have actually downloaded and played Alien Swarm if it had not have been for the hat? Not very much I would think.
Anybody who wears a Gibus or Parasite is silly.
