If you guys are saying we should keep it in the "New blog post" thread, that is dumb and I have to agree with the OP. But if there is already a thread like this for contributions etc. then I think that this thread is unnecessary. Either way, there should be separate threads for discussion of the update and blog post, and the presentation of WIPs and finished maps. It is kind of pointless posting your WIP in a thread being flooded with posts of hats and false predictions of how valve is going to release new updates based on a simple comic

If I think of a good theme I might try. I want to think of a really interesting centerpiece for the map, like Nucleus has. That oughta draw people in.

Also think "not desert" because everyone's tired of desert maps. Think... Forest or Swamp (that swamp pack is amazing) or Snow or maybe even something crazy like City or Space or Steampunk. It would be pretty cool to see a Space TF2 map.
Since i can't map, those are my two cents.

I'll release it, albeit with the layout changed.
Detailing's the most visually interesting part of watching map-making, so this will be a fun contest to follow.
My pal Drexen is doing it this. Cannot wait to see what he comes up with.
