How exactly do you idle without joining a server again? - Games

Since all those servers that disconnect make me rage. Yeah yeah haters gonna hate, I'm not responding or acknowledging whining about idling. Because when I make an offline server, it doesn't seem to have item drops. I know this is a dumb thread but you can make it disappear forever if you answer it in a simple, clear way.

start tf2, map_background ctf_2fort (or any map) in the console. open the store to find drops.

You know, just to qualify, all the accounts I use to idle on are accounts I've had in the past, and none were bought to idle in. If you think I'm a liar I'm very happy to link you to them and you can see the medal dates. Then again, no-one quite has a right to talk if they've ever bought items from the store.

The game always has those errors upon launch. Take a look when you start it up normally. If you're getting items, then it's working.

It should show map,number of players and yourname connected
