I have TF2 already installed on my computer but when I tried to play Team Fortress 2 today, it said it needed to be installed again.
So I re-installed it. Yet when I tried to play it, it said it still needed to be installed.
How do I fix this?
We'll need a little more info than just "it said it needed to be installed again."
Care to post a screenshot of this error, or paste word for word

I had TF2 installed on my computer, when I came home today it was uninstalled.
I clicked the install button and it said it had to take 8 days for it to re-download everything. Yet it took like half an hour.
In the middle of the download a steam update happened. I waited for the game to download before I clicked the "reset steam" button to update steam.
Once the game finished downloading I hit the "reset steam" button and when steam came back up the "play" button still had "install" on it.
I'm trying it again to see what happens.

Oh it finally works now!
I just downloaded it again and now it works, there must've been a downloading disruption or something.
I guess the problem solved itself eh?
