What I'm about to say has probably been done before.
For the last couple of months I've been playing around with a different method of gameplay. Rather than just running around mindlessly shooting at every single person I see, I noticed a way to play the game without actually playing. Something I called the Sandvich Heavy.
The Sandvich Heavy is simple. Find a nice spot, preferably near a health pack, and eat a sandvich. The Sandvich Heavy isn't violent, but if provoked, he could be deadly. A Sandvich Heavy avoids using his minigun at all costs and prefers his fists to boxing gloves. He doesn't fight unless he's attacked and never throws the first punch.
He prefers helping his team in non-violent ways, like dropping sandviches for teammates in need of health or using his size and toughness as a shield to block a friend from receiving a death-dealing blow.
You've probably heard of Sandvich parties where groups of players stand around and taunt together. Now you've heard of the Sandvich Heavy. A character that encourages parties and generally likes to have a good time.
Sadly, the new update has really damaged this style of play. removing the players ability to eat his sandvich after just one taunt. This doesn't just break my gimmick, but it means that you're going to see less sandvich parties(and I personally think, a more serious attitude in-game).
Team Fortress 2 is the only game I know of where this kind of fooling around is possible and I think it sucks that the developers don't want it as part of their game.
It's called the Heavy Bear

A Sandvich Heavy is different. He doesn't crouch, and he never uses a gun.
If I was a game developer who was trying to keep a game well-paced and balanced, I wouldn't promote players standing around and doing nothing.
Why not? It seems like a lot of people have fun doing nothing.
