If you're using an LCD monitor, you can't go past the refresh rate. In fact, any more and you risk input-lag.
All maxed out (from settings, no autoexec), 1920x1080. A bit laggy, may drop under 30 FPS but I'm getting used to it. My 8800GT just can't handle that resolution. :(
I'm a mid end guy me, but my 9400GT still drops under 20fps THANKS TO THE GOD DAMN PARTICLE SPAM AT THE MOMENT.

No, you risk input lag if your framerate drops below your refresh rate. And it doesn't just happen with LCDs, it happens with every type of display.

High settings. Good enough for me even if I can max it out. (lags when maxed out)
