New civilian sightings? - Games

Today when my friend was playing TF2, I saw some civilians wandering around (Demo and Sniper). I don't think it was the SourceMod plugin, since it's a vanilla server and no admins were on it. The people who were civilians didn't want to talk how to do this, though. I've seen one or two civilian engies, probably won't be too long before it's fixed though.

Quite simple, works with Demoman, Soldier & Sniper. 1.Equip a secondary that is non passive and have it out. 2.In Backpack equip Targe, Gunboats or Razorback. (Don't go to a locker.) 3.Kill yourself.

To do it, all you need to do is pack up your building as an engineer and either wait for the round to end or change class. And next round. You will appear as a Civilian.

I'm starting to think that Valve is doing it on purpose: making a way to become a civilian, wait until it gets known, deletes the old manner, creates new.

If so not sure.... tried in your own local server first? Some servers I've tried it on doesn't work for some strange reason.

You can kill yourself while holstered your secondary weapon and quickly go switch your secondary weapon with the Chargin'Targe or Gunboat or Razorback. Other way for a soldier civilian is The Buff Banner Trick (Its longer to do). 1. Get full rage. 2. Go to your backpack and switch it to either your Shotgun or Gunboat. 3. Find the nearest resupply locker and don't resupply yet. 4. As soon you blow the horn, run up to the locker and you should be in Civilian form. Also in Demoman Civilian, You can't charge, even though you are equipping it as a secondary weapon.

I often see a player be a civilian if he's a spy just disguised as someone.

How the hell did this bug come about :/ Doesn't seem to be the kind of thing that would be caused accidentally with any of the recent updates.

Also, for anyone interested, if you are on a server with sv_cheats set to 1, you can use addcond 0 to become a civilian.
