I'm not sure Valve's left hand and right hand are communicating much these days
It's alright, because they still don't work. I still hear that loud static instead of any custom sound on sv_pure servers
I'm pretty sure the custom sounds are related to the custom kill sounds which they recently fixed after adding them but not putting them on the sv_pure whitelist. AFAIK no custom sounds are supposed to work besides hit and kill sounds.
Glad they fixed that, I can finally use dank memes as my killsound
The sounds in the "misc" and "ui" folders are no longer under the "sv_pure" dictatorship.

You know, this alone makes me want to play TF2 again knowing I can use my favorite sound mods now.

My vox announcer custom sounds work great

Pretty sure they already weren't, that announcer pack I made a while ago worked fine on Valve servers.
