This has been bugging me a while. It didn't used to be like this, but one day I just stopped hearing people in-game. I soon realized the problem was on my end. I couldn't hear anyone and no one could hear me. So basically, my voicechat completely disabled in-game. Confused, I head over to Options -> Voice -> Test Microphone. To my surprise, nothing was getting picked up. It wouldn't even let me do the test. I would click "Test Microphone" and it would stay as "Test Microphone" instead of saying "Stop Microphone Test".
So I head over to Steam -> Settings -> Voice -> Test Microphone. Even more surprising, it works perfectly fine here. Curious, I open up CS:S and give it a shot there. Works perfectly. What the hell happened? I don't remember fucking with any settings. There's no reason for it not to be working. Windows 7 is detecting my microphone. Steam is detecting my microphone. CS:S is detecting my microphone. But TF2 won't have it.
In case there's a misunderstanding, I can't hear anyone else either. It's like my voicechat completely disabled.
What the hell do I do?
